Connexion Conference

We are back!

We were so busy this summer that I decided to take a break from blogging....however that little mini break turned into a BIG break for which I apologize

We had an extremely busy summer and fall then a small break and a busy Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

This will be the first of many postings to catch up to the end of the year

First.....let me say that we have found out that our term here in SEAsia ends in April of this year (2012).  So we will be heading back to the good ‘ole USA in that month.  Not sure of the exact date but this blog will close down once we return.  

Thanks for being on this journey with us and I hope you have felt a part of what we have done here experiencing the many students we have connected with!

CONNEXION CONFERENCE 2011

Our ministry here calls itself ConneXion.....connecting college students to God and each other.

For the past 3 years our student ministry team in the KL area has put together a ConneXion Conference.  We were here for the very first one when we came on a 2 week mission trip in 2009.  The speaker for that trip was our one and only youth pastor at the Summit....Jason Gaston....did a great job too!

The second year (2010) we was our first year here with our company and there was a speaker from Florida.  The music was led by a student team from Liberty with the main member being a Malaysian who attends University at Libertt

The third year (2011) it was at our local church and we had a speaker from Tennessee...Zach Hensley.  The worship leader was Tim Sweetman from the US.  He was backed up by a band of local Chinese who attend one of our partner churches and one of our Botswana girls was a back up singer.  It was a great experience.

It is usually held the last weekend in July.

Connexion Conference was amazing! Thank you to all who were involved. You know what was awesome? Looking around and realizing how many there had become believers in Jesus Christ in the past year. God is doing some amazing things in this country! So thankful for my front row seat to watch Him work.

t's so amazing to see how God brings people from different nations together together for His glory! It's been such a wonderful weekend in God's presence!

Truly blessed by the Connexion Conference 2011! Everyone rocked :) But Christ, is the ROCK! Thanks everyone for being a big part of it :)
