Our connexion group of students were invited to participate in a 3 day camp with a local church we are partnering with....Cornerstone Baptist Church
We had 8 students that were able to participate...4 boys and 4 girls

Dennis, Erin and I were small group leaders along with adults from CBC. Our students were divided up among their students to be placed in groups.
Camp Theme:

After each session we broke into our small groups and discussed the session.
I am always so amazed at the depth of talent in the churches here. It seemed like every youth at CBC was musically talented. The musical worship sessions were great.
Dennis and I both asked one of our students to co-lead with us and Catherine and Nathaniel accepted the challenge. They both led their perspective Saturday night small group session and did a great job! Bravo to these two young people for being willing to step up to the responsibility.
We are excited to see the Lord use our young adults in leadership roles.

Outbac Broga is an Outdoor Team Building Adventure camp located at Broga which is nestled between the borders of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. The camp begun in 2002 and is for rent by all groups. It is located on a 5.9 former Durian (YUCK!) orchard. It is a cheap inexpensive and affordable camp that can house up to 132 participants at any one time.
While we were there several groups came and left.
The activities they offer:
Extreme Sports
Flying Fox
Abseiling and Rock CLimbing
Ropes Courses
Low Ropes
Leap of Faith
Obstacle Courses
Kayaking Pond
Water Course
They also had bikes that could be signed out and used
We were late arriving to the camp as our bus was over an hour late arriving. When the bus finally arrived, the driver chose to take the long route to the camp area so we were at least 3 hours late arriving.

Team #3 had a hard time getting started!
What a fun activity! Even though Team #2 started out ahead and reached the other shore first, Team #1 got ahead and actually won the race.....Team #3 did make it into the water and managed to come in a close 3rd!!
Now time to take them apart and take the materials back to the storage area

The next team building activity was an “Amazing Race”. Each team had to visit areas and find the particular order they were to visit each team by the clues given to them when they finished the previous activity.
Since we were manning an activity, I could not get around to each one to find out specifically what they were doing.....
This one has to do with being tied up in a human knot and getting free
This was our station and the students had to find somewhere to fill up their water balloons, then throw to their partner’s head trying to burst the water balloon. If the balloon could not be burst this way (which none could because of the thickness of the balloon) then they had to sit on their own balloon and burst it......not a good feeling!
Had to take a cut off water bottle to a bucket, fill it up and come back to the whole water bottle and tipping the filled up half fill the whole bottle. Not touching the half bottle with hands but using only the string attached to the bottle. Very hard! Definitely have to work together as a team
This activity was very interesting and I had my doubts that they would do it joyfully....but I was pleasantly surprised. The station was next to ours and I got to see some of the productions. The idea was to take a story and then redo it using the some of the same words but with a different aspect to it.....making it more for today and their culture. Very interesting and very cute! Bravo kids!
This was a concoction mixed up and blended by one of the leaders and each team member had to drink it. The ingredients were peas, fruit cocktail, yogurt drink, limes and some unidentifiable black drink.....much to my surprise everyone I asked about it said it wasn’t too bad
Students had to connect so many straws together and then each member had to lift it up to a certain height keeping it level and keeping it together. Didn’t look all that hard to me but everyone said it was.
There was one more station that I did not get pictures of.....sorry!
They were able to ride on the Flying Fox which is what we know as the Zip Line.
For those of us who were able to get up at 5am there was the climb up Broga Mountain. It was a 20 minute walk to the entrance and then a 45 minute walk up the mountain to the first peak to watch the sunrise. It had rained most of the evening and night before.....so the climb up was slippery which made the descent even more so. However the views were worth it. There was not any pictures taken of the sunrise as it was still very overcast that morning. Didn’t spill my fun though!
Time to return home.
We had a lot of fun getting to know each other.
It was great seeing the local students mix with our international students.
