Snippets of happenings:

Sunday Singing:

We are working with a local church to help them start an International Student Ministry.  This church is literally right at the back door of a large university.  We are encouraging them to work along side of us in our Connexion ministry.
They are very open to the idea and have been so good about including our International Students in activities they plan.
They have also had some of our students from the African Continent to sing in their Sunday service.
Africans participate in their music worship differently than Asians or the way I do, actually.
Below is a clip of the song, Bayete King of Kings

From left to right the students are:
Nathaniel,Peter, Eugene and Rueben

They love to sing for the Lord!

Going Away Party for Yod:

Yod is a Thai young man who has an Electrical Engineering degree from a University in Thailand.  He came to Malaysia to learn English....simply because he likes to learn.  He has now gone back to Thailand and has gotten a job in Bangkok.  We miss him very much.  He was faithful to attend just about everything we did.
Yod is to the right of Dennis
I am going to see if I can find a better picture of him!
This is Yod....a very accomplished guitar player, also.
We miss you Yod!

Going away for Ahmed:

Another student left us, also.  Ahmed from Syria.
He went back to Syria for 5 months but when he returns to Malaysia he will be going to a University an hour away.....so we won’t see much of him anymore.
Ahmed is in the blue shirt.  He loved karaoke.

We took some students into KL to see Bob Fitts in concert.
Back Row:  Richard, Dennis, Setso
Front Row:  Janice, Pam, Angel

We enjoyed a meal before at the famous Jalan Bukit Bintang

Just glimpses into our every day life.

...till next time...

Pam, I love the singing! It is so true to their African roots... especially with the dancing. Hope you all are doing well, think of you often.
