Bowling Fun

Saturday Night Bowling Fun

We decided bowling would be a way to have fun and get to know the students better in the process.  It was a great idea....so we thought....but evidentially the students did not agree with our thought process....we only had 2 students show up!  However, the fun we had with those two students

The fun begins!!!

We had 2 students join us for this fun.
Reuben from Nigeria who had never bowled before.  He was fun to watch him progress from throwing the ball down the alley to rolling it down.
Yod from Thailand from had bowled only 3 to 4 times before.  He actually did quite well.

First let’s look at their form:

There were disappointments with their bowling:

There were some victories:

There was some coaxing balls to move another direction:

There was what seemed like praying for a good outcome:

The night was over all too soon!

Various shots from the night:

Auntie Janny also joined us for the fun

Uncle Teck Hoe brought his family and they
bowled next to us

This bowling alley was great......

Stadium seating for the on lookerseu
The night ended with ice cream for all!

This one is for those who wanted to see more pics of Dennis and I in the blogs!!
The best time was after bowling was over and we headed home.   We spent 45 minutes on the top floor of the parking deck in line waiting to get out.  That was when we were able to find out more about Yod.  He is an industrial engineer who has already graduated from college.  He is in Kuala Lumpur to learn English.  Not that he has any aspirations to go to the US to live but because he loves learning.  He wants to be able to converse in the universal language.

Were we disappointed only 2 showed up for bowling?  Yes....at first....but we are learning to be content who God brings us to minister to at each event.  We can’t force people to join us....we can only give our full attention to those who are there.  God is faithful to us so we are going to be faithful to Him in our response to what He gives us!

Thanks Reuben, Yod and Auntie Janny for a wonderful evening!

....till next time...
