Welcome to our home for Thanksgiving in Malaysia
Come on in.....we are having all the traditional food that you would experience in America
This is not our first Thanksgiving overseas but it is the first one out of the country that I have cooked.
It was definitely an experience but well worth it when I saw the looks on the faces of the students who came to celebrate with us.
Our Menu:
Turkey
Dressing
Gravy
Mashed Potatoes
Candied Yams
Green Beans
Deviled Eggs
Collards (aka Kai Lan)
Cole Slaw
Fruit Salad
Desserts
Pecan Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Carrot Cake
and various other things guests brought
almost forgot the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts....and, yes, we do live in a third world country
as the students arrived we asked them to take a paper leaf and write down what they were thankful for and then to tape it to our Thankfulness tree
we have so many things to be thankful for!
Following will just be pictures of those who came and celebrated an American Thanksgiving with us.
Enjoy!
It was so worth all the preparations beforehand to have our house full of laughter and joy and to be able to share a little bit of our culture with them who are so far away from their culture.
We loved seeing all the students mingle with each other and making new friends.
Praying that we have many more opportunities to use our dwelling here to minister to those God places in our path.
We are thankful that you came for a visit through our blog!
...till next time...

Hi Pam and Dennis! This looks so awesome. I'm thanking Him for all that He's doing in and through you. Miss you both :)
Krispy Kreme for Thanksgiving?! How crazy! Looks like you had a good time though!
I can't get your blog to work in my google reader...so I forget to come check and then it's been nearly a month. 8-) Love you both, though!
